Nowadays, even the best apps on the market today only offer gentle reminders, simple alarms, time-management type alerts, etc… We know this does not work effectively. Our product overcomes this by tapping the spontaneous motivational power of human-to-human contact while seamlessly blending the data-analyzing and deep-learning power of technology in our smart devices.

What is a nudge?

It’s a behavior-change activator that works on the deepest individual level to appeal to your unique motivational drivers. For every person in any situation, it could be one all-powerful image, phrase, quote, sound, meme, gif, video, etc or it could be a combination of these that evolves over time. Ok, so what is it? Ok, so it’s a reflection of you, the better version of you. It’s whatever motivates you to change. For us, that could be a picture of an overweight version of ourselves (to nudge us to exercise) , a quote from a passage in a book that we recently read (to nudge our values), a phrase or inside joke from a friend in our network (to nudge us in a direction only we understand), or even a photo of a bunch of bananas with a day of the week written on each one (to nudge us to be healthier and stop forgetting that we bought bananas).

It is limited to have more meaningful connections so that the quality of your network is emphasized instead of the quantity (so that the number of likes and connections is not important). The top feature of the network is how your connections will be part of motivating your behavior change. For example, when your progress is strong or weak, your top connections will receive the notification (instead of you) to nudge you in the right direction as a kind of inside joke or personal/ private message that only you would understand and only you would be moved by.

After individual reflection on what the founders of nudge find difficult or troubling with their own ability to develop long-term routines and make the commitment to a better way of living, we determined three pain points. Insufficient feedback, frustrating design and boringness were the main reasons why we could not find anything effective. So that’s why we know that it’s all in the way the user interface (UI) looks and how it feels when you use it. We are obsessed with designing an award-winning design, Apple-quality user interface that makes you feel like you’re already achieving your goals just by using our app. It’s been said that David Bowie once recorded an entire album based on the notion of “making the sound of rock feel the way a photograph image looked and made him feel” and that is what our UI design is going to achieve. We want to capture creative behavioral change and express it with our technology.
